As a newly qualified Licensed Conveyancer, it makes great sense for you to belong to the SLC. Not only will you be joining a network of fellow professionals; there are many benefits available to you, and potentially the firm that you are working for.

First of all, as a member you qualify to attend all SLC CPD events for free, and that includes the Annual Conference in Derby which is considered to be the ‘go to’ event for the Licensed Conveyancer community. That many solicitors and CILEx members pay to come to the Conference speaks volumes about it. You can attend for free our webinars and forums which are exclusively for members only.

You will also receive regular newsletters and bulletins containing the latest news in conveyancing which may also be of great value to the firm that you are working for.

In addition, if the firm that you work for does not have any members of the SLC already, your membership would give the firm free access to over 40 process and consumer guides that are considered to be of great value (some members say that these justify the cost of membership on their own!).

The SLC also has a number of affiliation schemes which may be of value to your firm.

Another feature of membership is access to the many jobs that are advertised by members of the SLC on the website.
