Established in 1988, the SLC has become a respected and influential voice for Licensed Conveyancers and the wider conveyancing profession, representing members’ interests and helping to shape the future of conveyancing.

While we remain the only professional body dedicated to Licensed Conveyancers, our inclusive membership reflects the collaborative nature of today's property law profession.

We bring together Licensed Conveyancers, Probate Practitioners, Solicitors and  Legal Executives  who share a commitment to excellence, professional standards and delivering the best outcomes for clients.

Through representation, support and valuable member benefits, we strengthen the profession, promote best practice and ensure property lawyers have a strong and respected voice in shaping the future of conveyancing.

The Society of Licensed Conveyancers is an independent professional body, working closely with regulators, Government and industry stakeholders to represent the interests of property lawyers and drive positive change across the conveyancing profession.

For more than three decades, the SLC has played an influential role in shaping the profession, championing improvements that benefit both legal professionals and their clients. From helping to create greater choice within the professional indemnity insurance market to working collaboratively on issues affecting conveyancing practices, we continue to advocate for positive change and the long-term success of the profession.

The Society is committed to delivering value for its members through strong representation, practical support and opportunities for professional development. By bringing property lawyers together, we help build a stronger, more connected profession and contribute to the continued improvement of conveyancing.
